Healthy Eating with children, Fruit ideas
So Schools out, so lets get the kids involved with some fruity ideas. Here you go
Aim for two or three servings of fruit a day.
Dedicate each day to a particular coloured fruit.
Monday is red day. Eg Apples, cherries, cranberries.
Tuesday is orange day. Eg Apricots, oranges, nectarines.
Wednesday is yellow or white day. Eg bananas, grapefruit, mango, pineapple.
Thursday is blue or violet day. Eg blackberries, blueberries, grapes, plums.
Friday is green day. Eg. Kiwi fruit, grapes, green apples.
Weekends can be fruit free- for – all.
Fruit can be added to yoghurt, sorbet, cereal topping. Don’t forget dried fruit too.
